(I'm uncertain that this review is in the right place as it does not relate to Sarka's recommendation.) We would like to recommend Residence Retrezova. It is in Old Town, close to everything, but on a quiet side street. The apartments are beautifully decorated, and with good beds. There is a small cafe next door for breakfast or lunch. We are picky, and were most happy there.

We stayed 8 nights at the K.K.Fenix Hotel. This is an Austrian chain hotel. It was absolutely perfect. Wonderful breakfast buffet every morning, very clean, efficient staffing and just a block off Wenceslas Square. We would stay at the K.K. again!

Everyone always raves about Prague so I was excited to be finally going there for a long weekend. The weather was excellent, the city was interesting and we didn't have any trouble with pick-pockets. We ate a lot of dumplings and drank a lot of beer. It was an interesting few day and we did fall in love with Prague like most people do. It has a fabulous Castle, Cathedrals, Squares and it just did capture our heart. While it was expensive getting there, we stayed in a rental apartment which was much cheaper than Prague hotels and really made us feel like locals. It was also very clean and modern. Another plus: we had a kitchen so if we felt like cooking or having a meal on the private patio, we could. Five-star accommodation at cheaper prices! And so romantic...

After visiting Budapest and Vienna, I thought we had seen it all, But, Prague was absolutely outstanding and our guide Katarina Kruspanova made everything come to life. We walked and we rode to every nook and cobblestone street in all of Prague. She was so well versed on every subject. It was like having a pocket encyclopedia
at your command. From the moment she picked us up, to the moment she dropped us at the airport, she was filling us with knowledge of her city and her country. It was a wonderful and pleasant educational experience. And a truly great vacation. Thank you Katarina.
